Old Dominion is situated just north of Lee Highway beginning at N Glebe Road. The community continues west along Lee Highway, up N Columbus Road, east along 26th St N, around 25th Road N, 25th Road S, and N Wakefield Street. Then, as soon as N Wakefield meets up with Lee Highway, Old Dominion heads west until Lee Highway intersects with N Glebe Road. The neighborhoods of Glebewood, Waverly Hills, Donaldson Run, Yorktown and Highview Park border this North Arlington community.

Old Dominion real estate offerings are almost always detached homes constructed in traditional Colonial style. This is typical to both Northern Virginia and the Arlington area. Dining Out in Old Dominion
Lee Highway is full of quick dining options for busy residents. The Lee Heights Shops, located just a couple of blocks away from the Old Dominion border on Lee Highway, is one of the closest shopping centers to the neighborhoodnand has an eclectic mix of retailers. Cassatt’s, Crisp and Juicy chicken and Chipotle are some of the quick eateries in the small strip of stores.
If you head 2 miles down from Old Dominion to Ballston and Virginia Square, you’ll find a great mix of shops, restaurants and nightlife options. Rustico is a mainstay that has attracted Arlington residents for years. There also are some exciting newer restaurants, like Water & Wall, Mussel Bar and Kapnos.
Enjoying the Great Outdoors in Old Dominion
Since Old Dominion is on the smaller side, there are no parks located directly in the neighborhood. However, there are a few parks close by. Stratford Park is three blocks east of the community and has picnic tables, a baseball field, tennis courts, a sports field and a basketball court. Woodstock Park is just over Lee Highway from the southeastern end of the neighborhood, and has one acre of space, picnic tables, a gazebo, a playground and a basketball court.
Traveling Around Old Dominion
Transportation to and from Old Dominion is generally via car. With easy access to Lee Highway, I-66, Old Dominion Drive and Glebe Road, it’s difficult to justify any other mode of transit. However, for those who prefer to use public transportation, there are a couple of ART Bus lines that will take you into Ballston, Clarendon, Rosslyn and Washington, DC.
